No internet...offline!

We have continiued to explore remote areas and we are constantly offline in those areas.  It is frustrating at times and we have to remember that it will be just fine that we can't check bank accounts, where to get a four star meal for only $$ instead of $$$$.  After all we don't have money rolling in to our bank accounts and we are spending very little so far.  We are reading books and watching dvd movies. No Netflix and no impulse buys on Amazon.  I have written a blog post that dissappeared due to losing internet access midway and it wasn't able to be saved...I'm still reeling from that loss.  Oh well!  Here are the pictures at least for memeories sake!

To summarize that lost post:

We arrived in Oregon and the next day made the decision to travel three hours to Crater Lake National Park.  Boyd was not happy and made us pay for the decision the entire car ride to the lake, even refusing to get out and view the lake.  Turns out we just needed to be in one place and let the kids be free to explore the farm we were staying at.  That will not be forgotten in the future and we will prioritize relaxed down days.  We are still in vacation mode and the go go go can't last.  Erica and I will have to be good with doing nothing on days...I think we can adjust to that!

Crater Lake was amazing and we arrived in a hail storm...literally and figuratively!  Boyd melting down in the back seat and peanut sized hail outside. The clouds made for great photos though.  We decided to break for some dessert at a restaurant in the park while the clouds moved over head.  Once the sun came back out Boyd was happy to go back up to the rim of the lake to see it for himself and let Erica and Blythe (Erica is teaching Blythe photography) get some photos of the deep beautiful blue lake in full sun.  Erica and I told each other dessert should always be eaten first.  Glad she gets it after all the years I've been doing it.

Peace and Love!
